3. 2023: It Is Possible To Pay Nigerian Workers N100,000 Minimum Wage
The 2023 presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) Yabagi Sani says the high inflation rate in the country has eroded the purchasing power of what most workers earn as salaries in the country.
He however added that Nigeria has enough resources to ensure the minimum wage gotten by workers in the country is N100,000.
Naija News understands he made the submission on Sunday during an interview session with Arise Television.
In his words, “It’s very possible to pay the minimum wage of N100,000.”

He stressed that he was different from other candidates for the 2023 presidential election and was sure of making Nigeria better if elected as president next year.
He lamented the huge burden Nigeria’s debt has become on the country, recommending that the debts need to be re-negotiated and plans put in place for it to be paid off in a manner that won’t negatively affect the nation.
Kwankwaso further stressed the need to get the private sector involved in reforming Nigeria’s economy adding that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) needs to be better managed “for the interest of each and everyone us.”
5. Details Of Meeting Between PDP G5 Governors, Wike’s Allies Emerge
The details of the meeting between the five aggrieved governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and some party chieftains have emerged.
Naija News earlier reported that the five PDP governors and allies of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State met on Sunday at the Southern Sun hotel in Ikoyi, Lagos.
At the meeting, the G5 governors and other PDP stalwarts outlined the next line of action on the lingering crisis rocking the opposition party.
Reading the communique of the group after its deliberations, former Governor of Plateau, Jonah Jang, said the G5 and members of the group have formed a group known as the Integrity Group.
Jang asserted that the PDP governors and their allies reiterated their readiness for reconciliation, saying that they are still open to dialogue.
He said the demands of the governors, which include the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Senator Iyiocha, Ayu, and the choice of his successor from the South still stand.
The former governor said the governors and members of the Integrity group maintained that they will not participate in the PDP presidential campaign until their demands are met.

6. Rivers State: APC Is Not Afraid Of The Courts, We Will Contest And Win – Nwauju
The publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Darlington Nwauju has expressed confidence that the party would contest and win the 2023 governorship election in the state.
He spoke against the backdrop of a recent court order that nullified the election of all candidates of the party produced during its primary election.
Naija News recalls that a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt on October 25, nullified all primary elections conducted by the Rivers APC over the unlawful exclusion of some party members as delegates to the primaries.
The presiding Judge, Justice E A Obile had ruled over a suit filed by one George Orlu and four others as plaintiffs against Rivers APC.
Orlu and four others had sought nullification of all the party’s primaries over exclusion from the delegates list.
Reacting during an interview with the Punch published on Sunday, Nwauju expressed confidence that the order would not stand before a court of higher jurisdiction.
He argued further that all attempts to have the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the only party contesting the 2023 governorship polls in Rivers State would not work.
He alleged that the administration of Governor Nyesom Wike is deploying state resources to ensure only the PDP is on the ballot for the election.
7. Stop Engaging In Political Banditry, You Have No Mandate To Reclaim – Adeleke Fires Oyetola
Osun State Governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has slammed Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for claiming he will retrieve his lost mandate.

“By the special grace of Allah, In Sha Allah, I shall grace this occasion next year, still as the Osun Governor.
“I have no doubt in my mind that I shall reclaim my mandate”, Oyetola was quoted as saying.
Reacting in a statement by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed on Sunday, Adeleke stated that the Osun State governor has no mandate to reclaim as he was soundly defeated in the July 16 poll.
While calling attention to the rabid pillaging of Osun state assets since July election, Adeleke said the governor is engaging in political banditry.
According to the Osun Governor-elect, every official, elected or appointed, who partake in the diversion of the state's funds will have their day before a panel of inquiry.
8. Forget Run-off, Conduct Credible Elections As Atiku Will Win At First Ballot – PDP Tells INEC
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to concentrate on conducting a credible election in 2023.
Naija News reports that the INEC commissioner for information, Festus Okoye, had announced that the commission will prepare towards conducting a run-off.
Okoye said the plan for a run-off election (this can happen when there is no clear winner for the first election and when the candidate who has the highest votes fails to meet the conditional requirements on votes spread across states) is in line with the tradition of the commission for all elections.
He said plans are in place to print double the total number of ballot papers required for the election, considering that the commission has 21 days to conduct rerun or run-off elections.
The INEC spokesman stated that not all candidates are going to participate in this second election, stating that only two candidates are going to contest the run-off election.
Reacting in a statement on Saturday, the spokesperson of the PDP campaign council, Kola Ologbondiyan, asked the electoral umpire not to bother about a run-off as the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will win at the first ballot.
9. 2023: Amaechi Will Talk When Necessary – APC
The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says people are eager to hear whatever former Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi has to say ahead of the 2023 elections.
The state publicity secretary of the APC, Darlington Nwauju who made the submission noted that Amaechi is a man of great wisdom but won’t talk all the time.

The APC spokesperson made the submission during an interview with The Punch.
10. ATM Comment: Your Identity Still Unknown – Atiku’s VP, Okowa Fires Back At Tinubu
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 Vice Presidential candidate and Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, has responded to the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, over his comment in the state.
Recall that Tinubu had on Saturday, during his presidential rally in Delta, slammed the PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar for his consistent visit to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
According to Tinubu, the Wazirin Adamawa loves Dubai more than Nigeria. The APC presidential candidate also accused Governor Okowa of making his state’s resources available to fund Atiku’s exorbitant lifestyle.
The former Governor of Lagos State also warned that Delta was not an Automated Teller Machine for migratory politicians from the state. Naija News reports that Tinubu’s comment was contained in a statement issued by his media officer, Tunde Rahman.
The APC candidate in his address at the Warri Township Stadium accused the opposition party of abandoning infrastructural development in the state and leaving Delta to rot away.
In a swift response to Tinubu’s allegations and demeaning comments about his person and relationship with Atiku, Okowa said he does not have time to respond to someone whose identity is still unknown to Nigerians.
Speaking through a spokesperson for the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation and Delta State Commissioner for Information, Charles Aniagwu, the PDP Vice Presidential candidate said Deltans appreciated the state’s infrastructural development and that the state was “not like Lagos that Bola Tinubu put in his pocket.”
